Pathwise

Teach.Test.Certify.

Self-paced courses, tests your staff approve and certificates issued in your organisation's name.

Training is spread across three tools and a spreadsheet.

Courses live in one place, tests in another and certificates in a document template. Someone marks every written answer by hand. The same quiz runs every year, last year's answers get passed around and proving who is certified means chasing a spreadsheet.

Example
Built

Build a course from what you already teach.

Arrange modules and lessons, then fill each lesson with text, images, YouTube or Vimeo videos and files to download. Put questions and scenarios between them, so learners do something rather than just read.

Every course gets its own colour, and that colour follows it everywhere a learner sees it.

Try a lesson.

Three parts from our security awareness starter course. Your answers stay in this browser.

Knowledge check

An email from 'IT Support' asks you to confirm your password through a link. What should you do?

Scenario: what would you do?

Someone carrying a parcel asks you to hold the door to the office floor. They don't have a badge.

Progress saves on every part. Start on a phone, finish on a laptop and Resume opens the part you stopped at.

Before the beta opens

Upload your material. Check the questions it writes.

Pathwise reads PDFs, Word documents, slides and pasted text, then drafts questions from them. Each question shows the passage it came from, the right answer and how hard it is. Nothing reaches a learner until someone on your staff approves it.

  • Single choice
  • Multi-select
  • True or false
  • Short answer
  • Written answer with a rubric

Approval queue

Question bank: 23 approved

Example

If a question's answer isn't in your material, it's dropped before you see it. So are near-duplicates of questions you already have.

Before the beta opens

Set the rules for each test.

Choose the pass mark, the number of attempts, a time limit and the question order. Choice and true-or-false questions are scored by plain code the moment a learner submits. Timed tests can be extended for learners who need more time.

During the beta

Each learner gets a different set of questions from the bank, so last year's answers don't help this year.

Example
Before the beta opens

AI grades written answers. Your staff have the final say.

Each written answer is scored against your rubric, one criterion at a time, with a short reason that quotes the answer. Grades that are unsure or close to the pass mark wait for a person to review them. Staff can change any grade with a reason, and every change is recorded.

  • Spelling and grammar don't cost marks unless your rubric says so.
  • A learner's answer is always treated as an answer, never as an instruction.
  • If the AI service is down, learners can still submit. Nothing is lost.

Explain what you would do if you received a suspicious email at work.

I wouldn't click any links. I'd use the Report button so the security team can check it, then delete it. If I had already clicked, I'd tell IT straight away.

  • Doesn't open links or attachments…
  • Reports it the right way…
  • Knows what to do after a mistake…
Example

During the betaLearners see feedback on each written answer once its grade is released.

Before the beta opens

Certificates in your name that anyone can check.

When a learner passes, Pathwise issues a certificate with your organisation's name and logo, the signatory, the course, the date, an expiry date and a unique ID. Add credits such as CPD hours if your course carries them. Employers and auditors check it by link, ID or QR code, without an account.

When a certificate is close to expiring, Pathwise assigns the course again so renewals happen on time.

Built

Invite and organise

Invite people by email, a CSV file or a join link, and put them in groups. There are four roles (admin, author, manager and learner) and each one sees only what it needs.

Before the beta opens

Assign and remind

Assign a course to people or groups with a due date, once or every year. Reminders go out before the due date and when it passes, with the manager copied.

Before the beta opens

Track and export

See who is assigned, in progress, certified, overdue or expiring in the next 30 days. Export the records as CSV or PDF when an auditor asks.

  • Your material and your learners' answers are never used to train AI models.
  • No other organisation can see your data.
  • Grades and certificates keep their full history. A change adds a record and never erases one.
  • Designed for GDPR, UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act. Learners can export or delete their data.
  • Works in a phone browser and meets WCAG 2.1 AA, including keyboard and screen reader use.
  • Hosted in one region during the beta, with a data processing agreement on request.
